Celebrate a friend's birthday or a loved one's wedding shower with a Vanilla Gift Card. Show your appreciation to clients, employees and business partners with the gift of choice. Vanilla Gift Cards are accepted most everywhere in the U.S. and District of Columbia. The funds never expire, so you can be sure your gift will go far.
Some retailers use ZIP Codes as a checkout security feature. Assigning a ZIP Code to your Vanilla Gift Card is simple. Log in to your account and select Manage Card. The "Assign ZIP Code" page allows you to register your ZIP Code for the first time or update an existing ZIP Code.
At checkout, simply enter your Card information in the Payment Method fields. Your personal information is not associated with your Vanilla Gift Card, so use your mailing address when shopping online to ensure you can be contacted by the merchant if a problem arises.
You can use your Vanilla Gift Card at online merchants based inside the United States and District of Columbia where Visa debit cards, Debit Mastercard or Discover cards are accepted, as applicable.
Give your Gift Card to the cashier when making a purchase. Be sure to know your balance before you shop.
Finalize your purchase as a signature transaction by choosing Credit and signing the receipt. You can visit your online account to track your transactions.
You may finalize your purchase as a debit transaction by choosing Debit and entering your PIN. Sign in to your account to learn more about setting or clearing your PIN.
Merchants cannot determine your Gift Card balance, and if you try to purchase an item greater than your balance, your Card may be declined. You can easily check your Gift Card balance online by signing in to your account.
If an item costs more than your Card balance, you may be able to use a second payment method such as cash, check, credit or debit card for the difference, depending on which payment methods the merchant accepts. Tell the cashier how much to apply with each type of payment when you make your purchase. Please note, not all merchants may accept "split" transactions.
Gas pump terminals, restaurants and certain other types of merchants may place a hold on your Gift Card for an amount greater than your purchase. These holds will remain until your transaction is finalized and may stay on your Card for up to 7 business days.
Be sure to write down your Card number, expiration date, CVV and Customer Care phone number from the back of your Card. Store this information in a safe place in case your Card is ever lost or stolen.
